Duties and Responsibilities
As a Sales Account Executive for Sovereign Ammo, your role is to develop and maintain relationships that bring our ammunition to market in 4 targeted sectors (you will specialize in 1 sector):
- Small/Medium Retail (anytown USA gun stores)
- Large Retail (nationwide big-boxes using a distributor network)
- Law Enforcement
- Community
- Shooting Ranges
- Training Companies/Instructors
- Shooting Clubs
- Competition Teams
- Trade Shows
Your primary responsibilities are to leverage your contacts, networks, and use good old-fashioned sleuthing to hunt for the right buyers in your designated sector for our quality ammo. We’ll provide you with the sales and marketing resources necessary for the role, and once you learn the company processes and procedures, you’ll be responsible for proposing solutions, growing your accounts book of business, and meeting your monthly/quarterly/annual revenue goals.
Skills and Experience
- Sales experience in the outdoors/firearms industry is required.
- Firearms knowledge and experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a target sector outlined above.
- Experience using MS Office Suite, CRMs, tasking software, and shared folder systems (such as Dropbox).
- Ability and confidence to cold call new prospects, attend events and interact with the public, and negotiate through objections to close deals.
- Willingness and aptitude to create a personal brand online (social media, blogs, community discussion boards, etc.) that supports your role, as well as the growth of the company.
- Reliable internet connection to work from home anywhere in the USA, and set your hours as you see fit.
- You must have your own phone, reliable transportation, and computer/laptop.
To start, this is a 1099 Contractor role on a commission-only basis. We are a new company and offering salaries to anyone out of the gate is simply not possible right now (though we would love to!).
Our objective is to offer every full-time sales team member a salary and benefits after a pattern of success has been established and we have the ability to negotiate and pay well. As such, this role has the potential to grow into a salaried W-2 position, with a career path to Director of Business Development, if so desired, as our company grows.

As an Independent Sales Representative for Sovereign Ammo, your role is to help bring our ammunition to market into every corner of the United States.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your initial responsibilities will be focused on prospecting and qualifying potential customers in your local community. Our team will help you propose and close sales to start, and once you learn the ropes in the industry, you’ll be responsible for sourcing and closing your own deals.
Our ultimate goal for you in this role is to have maximum autonomy while still being fully supported by Sovereign Ammo.
Skills and Experience
- Sales experience helpful, but not necessary.
- Basic firearms knowledge and experience preferred.
- Experience using standard MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), tasking software, shared folder systems (such as Dropbox).

During your internship, you will work directly with Sovereign Ammo’s CEO, Laura DiBenedetto, a seasoned entrepreneur and business leader. As a young founder herself, she has been running wildly successful internship programs for over 20 years, helping the next generation to secure solid careers and start their own businesses.

Duties and Responsibilities
You’ll be in charge of managing Federal Ammunition Excise Tax, pricing, quoting and invoicing, payment management, QuickBooks management, sales tax reporting, bookkeeping, and reporting. You’ll also be responsible for government compliance, payroll, contractor and vendor management, AP and AR.
While this role is heavily financial, is also bears responsibility for contracts and legal matters, website and e-commerce store management, certifications, limited relevant marketing, and some executive support. You will work with our CPA and legal teams as needed.
This is an important job that requires a detail-oriented professional who can handle many moving parts and projects.
Skills and Experience
- Management experience will be preferred, but not required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office, and bookkeeping is required.
- Experience in firearms/ammunition is helpful, but not required.
- Reliable internet connection to work from home anywhere in the USA.

- Proficiency and adaptability with technology required.

Social Media Marketing Intern

Sovereign Ammo is currently seeking a Social Media Marketing Intern who is focused on content creation and follower engagement for various social media channels, and support day-to-day online marketing functions. If you live in or near Cumming, GA or Jacksonville, FL, that’s ideal, otherwise this is a fully remote role.
By assisting in curation and production of the content Sovereign Ammo creates, you will learn how to build, strategize, market, and execute an experience through the lens of creative storytelling. The program will offer opportunities to grow and develop your skills, as well as gain insight and exposure to multiple aspects of our company and industry.
